Crowra does not require an account or user-provided credentials. Settings, scan history, pinned re-check targets, and local reminder state are stored locally in Chrome. Optional PageSpeed tests use a server-side wrapper so credentials stay server-side. Current AI / GEO checks are deterministic readiness signals and do not require a generative AI API.

Service boundaries:

- Local extension: core page audit, overlays, reports, history, extractors, same-site crawls, task handoffs, and competitor baselines
- Server wrapper: optional PageSpeed checks for public URLs, with credentials kept server-side
- Manual verification: Search Console URL Inspection values require access to the verified property
- Browser-first reporting: current reports are portable files and printable views rather than hosted public report links
- No generative AI API: current AI / GEO features are deterministic readiness signals, not an AI assistant
